Since HVL-F60RM2 is designed and produced by Sony, it is able to communicate with α machine bodies to provide a uniform Light GN60 emission to each flash. HVL-F60RM2 supports 20 mm focal lengths (14 mm with diffuser) to 200 mm.

With compatible cameras3, the white balance is automatically adjusted so that the subject's face has natural colors. HVL-F60RM2 collaborates with VIST detection to provide an ideal lighting for the main subject.

Thanks to the internal design, this advanced flash unit transfers the color temperature data to the camera, where they are used to accurately adjust the white balance and obtain natural colors in any situation.

With the electronic shutter on a compatible camera3, it is possible to produce up to about 20 flashes per second for more than 1 second6. The FA-EBA1 external flash battery allows about 20 flash per second for more than 10 seconds.
Synchronization up to 1/400 sec. with compatible camera
With a compatible camera3, HVL-F60RM2 allows Flash synchronization up to 1/400 sec. You can thus mitigate the background using the flash to illuminate the main subject, illuminate moving subjects on a bright background and much more.
P-TTL flash control for light variations
If used with a compatible camera, the sequencing of high-speed controls in the camera uses the pre-flash during continuous shots, even for rapid movement subjects and with drastic light variations.
Minimum flash activation delay
When using HVL-F60RM2 together with a compatible camera3, the time interval between the power of the shutter button and the flash emission is significantly reduced8, so as to capture the most fleeting moments.

Adjustment with Quick Shift Bounce system
Tilt the left or right-handed 90-degree flash head quickly, 150 degrees upwards or 8 degrees downwards and passes from the horizontal orientation to the vertical one. The updated mechanism is more compact and convenient.

You can check Flash compensation, report and other parameters through compatible cameras2. You can use the custom button on the camera to call up the flash parameters and adjust them while using the viewfinder.

Automatic white balancing with color filters
When one of the supplied color filters is connected to the flash drive, the white balance of the camera is automatically adjusted for a natural mix between flash and ambient light.
Flash control with reflected flash adapter
When using the supplied Flash adapter, the flash drive communicates with the camera to obtain optimal flash distribution for soft and uniform lighting. The diffuser optimizes this effect.
Synchronization terminal in / out wired
